Brad Cunningham Band

The Brad Cunningham Band is on a mission to share the gospel of Texas Country Music with the Northland.  They may call Missouri home but the sound they make comes from a little further south where storytelling, soul & screaming guitars sit down for a nice steak dinner with an electric fiddle, a bouncing bass line and a steady train beat. 

Front man and songwriter Brad Cunningham was introduced to the music of Pat Green & Robert Earl Keen, Jr. while studying at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. When life brought him back to Missouri he knew he had to share the sound he'd heard so he started a band called Man in the Ring.  That band has been burning up Missouri's highways for going on 7 years now, admittedly sounding a little more like a rock band with attention deficit than a country band.  Say what you will about it, its gotten them opening spots for Jason Boland, Pat Green, Billy Joe Shaver, Stoney LaRue, Wade Bowen, Zane Williams, Mike & the Moonpies, Corey Smith, & Dwight Yoakam just to name a few.

With pristine harmony and searing instrumentation, they are truly a 'not to be missed' act, whether performing as a duo or with The ROGERS & NIENHAUS Band. Terry Jones Rogers & Scott Nienhaus have been performing together since meeting in Nashville,TN in 1993, when Terry invited Scott to join the newly formed group, The Byrds Celebration, along with Byrds alumni Skip Battin and Gene Parsons.  Both Terry and Scott had storied pasts when they began their long career working together; Terry's Macon,GA roots, recording at famed Capricorn Records Studio with The Pound & Rogers Band and touring the world fronting The Byrds with Michael Clarke; and Scott's St. Louis,MO roots with his band, Blueberry Hill Records recording artists Acousticity, and touring the world with The Nicolette Larson Band. Now based out of the St. Louis Metro area, ROGERS & NIENHAUS have become local favorites with their fiery performances and flawless harmonies, as well as performing national and international engagements.

We've been looking forward to unveiling our new wine production facility and tonight's the night! The evening's focus is on wine (particularly ours!) beginning with a ribbon cutting and a wine and cheese tasting in the winery. Following that, we'll move to the pavilion for dinner from our summer menu and a showing of the documentary film, SOMM. This fascinating film follows four sommeliers as they attempt to pass the extremely difficult Master Sommelier Exam. The evening ends with each Wine Club Member taking home their first wine pickup as well as a choice of a Defiance Ridge t-shirt of hat. We can't think of a better way to introduce the beginning of our wine production!

If we celebrated every day that we appreciated our mothers, everyday would be Mother's Day! 

It only happens once a year though, so start the day off right by spoiling her with a delectable wine country brunch at Defiance Ridge.

We're preparing seasonal farm-to-table dishes for your family to enjoy together in celebration of your mom!

Run for the Roses Wine Dinner

Celebrate the greatest two minutes in sports in the scenic surroundings of Defiance Ridge. Sip mint juleps as you watch the Kentucky Derby live!

The evening continues with a wine pairing dinner featuring some Derby Day favorites paired with Defiance Ridge wines. Wear your favorite Derby attire if you'd like to participate in the best dressed contest (men & women)
