Now’s your chance to immerse yourself in the Defiance Ridge harvest experience! Spend the morning working alongside our vineyard crew as we harvest our Vignoles grapes, then relax and enjoy an al fresco lunch on the terrace overlooking the vineyard!

Inspired by our desire to nurture people through food and wine, each month we’ll be hosting an intimate multi-course dinner in our modern farmhouse tasting room. Our menu’s focus is on American farm-to-table fare using the best seasonal ingredients, including vegetables and herbs from our on-site garden. The prix fixe menu changes every month in order to optimize the chef’s creativity and ensure that you’ll always have a one-of-a-kind dining experience!

  • 4 course Tasting Menu: $60 per person + tax & gratuity  
  • 4 course Tasting Menu with Wine Flight: $80 person + tax & gratuity  
  • Arrival Time:  6:00 PM
  • Dinner Served:  6:30 PM

First Course   beef fat roasted beets, house made quark cheese, burnt grape fruit glaze, thyme, micro greens.

Jason Garms

Jason is a dynamic blend of blues, reggae, bluegrass, funk, soul, and more. He lives in  St. Louis, MO where he works full-time to create and develop his diverse sound. He has a distinct vocal style that is simple and pure. There is a definite attempt to keep the foundation of the roots alive in his music. His performances include solo acoustic sets incorporating a loop pedal with real time recordings that include bass, rhythms, guitar, and vocals; an acoustic duo set with saxophone or keyboard; or a full band "blues and more" electric experience. All sets are full of originals and unique covers that are built to match the needs of the environment and venue. Jason is making plans to record a debut album of original music but there is no release date to announce as of yet.

With pristine harmony and searing instrumentation, they are truly a 'not to be missed' act, whether performing as a duo or with The ROGERS & NIENHAUS Band. Terry Jones Rogers & Scott Nienhaus have been performing together since meeting in Nashville,TN in 1993, when Terry invited Scott to join the newly formed group, The Byrds Celebration, along with Byrds alumni Skip Battin and Gene Parsons.  Both Terry and Scott had storied pasts when they began their long career working together; Terry's Macon,GA roots, recording at famed Capricorn Records Studio with The Pound & Rogers Band and touring the world fronting The Byrds with Michael Clarke; and Scott's St. Louis,MO roots with his band, Blueberry Hill Records recording artists Acousticity, and touring the world with The Nicolette Larson Band. Now based out of the St. Louis Metro area, ROGERS & NIENHAUS have become local favorites with their fiery performances and flawless harmonies, as well as performing national and international engagements.

Winery Ribbon Cutting & Wine Pick Up Party

We've been looking forward to unveiling our new wine production facility and tonight's the night! The evening's focus is on wine (particularly ours!) beginning with a ribbon cutting and a wine and cheese tasting in the winery. Following that, we'll move to the pavilion for dinner from our summer menu and a showing of the documentary film, SOMM. This fascinating film follows four sommeliers as they attempt to pass the extremely difficult Master Sommelier Exam. The evening ends with each Wine Club Member taking home their first wine pickup as well as a choice of a Defiance Ridge t-shirt or hat. We can't think of a better way to introduce the beginning of our wine production!

We take our fried chicken seriously every day- that's why we feature it on all of our menus! Try our yummy "Chicken Littles" for lunch but come back for Friday Supper when we serve up a special version of one of America's favorite comfort foods. Tonight, we're taking a trip down memory lane with Chuck's East Texas grandmother's recipes for double dipped fried chicken, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, Mamaw's famous yeast rolls and fried fruit pies.
