ABOUT THE BAND…

Rubik’s Cubes, Pac-Man, skinny ties and leg warmers—That 80s Band brings back the sound of the 80s Pop/Rock/New-Wave era. Comprised of Valerie Girl (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Mick Fly (Bass/Vocals), Vic Tanny (Lead Guitar/Vocals), and Rod Springfield (Drums/Vocals), That 80s Band is a fun, high-energy recreation of the 80s music scene.

This is not a modern version of everyone’s favorite 80s tunes. This is as close to going back in time as humanly possible without a Flux Capacitor and plutonium.

The experienced line-up has the capabilities (and gnarly wardrobe) to cover the most popular (Madonna, Rick Springfield) to the nostalgic one-hit wonders (Aha, Tommy Tutone). So, dig out your parachute pants, fingerless gloves, jackets with lots of zippers, practice your moonwalk, and check out this band…They’re like, totally tubular!

ABOUT THE BAND…

With a span of 6 decades and selling over 75 million records, Bob Seger is one of the world's best selling Rock and Roll artists of all time. His first studio album, Ramblin' Gamblin' Man, was soon followed up by the Detroit rocker's acclaimed 1973 Live Bullet album. He would go on to achieve a national breakout with the studio album Night Moves in 1976.

Silver Bullet STL faithfully gives you all the classic Bob Seger hits from Turn the Page, Hollywood Nights and Against the Wind to Mainstreet, Like a Rock and more! This is why Silver Bullet STL has become the #1 Bob Seger Tribute!

Did you know Bob Seger co-wrote the Eagles number-one hit song Heartache Tonight?  Bob and the late Glenn Frey had a long collaborative friendship, Glenn even provided guitar and backing vocals on Ramblin' Gamblin' Man. Later Glenn wrote Heartache Tonight but was stumped for a chorus. So he called Bob and sang it on the phone, Seger just came right in with the chorus line. This is why Bob Seger is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame!

Jeff Cohn Cellars Wine Tasting
May

12:00 PM12:00

Jeff Cohn Cellars Wine Tasting

Join us for a private tasting on Saturday, May 11th featuring exquisite wines from Jeff Cohn Cellars.

~ Tickets are limited (40-person capacity for the event)

~ Ticket price: $40 per person (includes wine tasting and charcuterie)

~ Please purchase tickets at the bottom of the event page

Wines included in the tasting:

~ 2018 Smoke & Mirrors Red Blend (Sonoma County)

Plums, blueberries, peppery herbs, and cedary spice notes all emerge from the 2018 Smoke & Mirrors, another charming, medium to full-bodied, pure, balanced wine in the lineup. It’s already impossible to resist and there’s no need to delay gratification, although I see no reason it won’t evolve for at least 4-6 years.

~ 2018 Sweetwater Springs Vineyard Zinfandel (Russian River Valley)

Opening in spicy white pepper and lavender, this wine flies an impressive flag for the variety in this appellation—an increasing rarity in fact. Rich as blackberry cobbler, it offers enduring baking spice and a velvety smooth texture that’s hard to resist in its overt exuberance of full-throttled flavor.

~ 2019 Domaine des Chirats Syrah (Rockpile)

The 2019 Syrah Domaine des Chirats comes from the Rockpile Vineyard and has very soft floral aromas of lavender, baked earth, and sweet smoke. The palate is ripe and inviting, with boysenberry and turned earth, and the wine displays a building structure on the finish that would welcome another year or two in bottle before drinking.

~ 2022 Les Inseparables White Blend

Its medium gold hue is followed by a medium-bodied, elegant, yet richer wine from Cohn that has a gorgeous nose of ripe lemons, honeysuckle, toast, and white flowers. It brings some classic Cohn richness, but this stays pretty and elegant, with a terrific sense of freshness. It’s going to shine on the dinner table.

~ 2018 Rossi Ranch Vineyard Red Blend (Sonoma Valley)

It has a medium ruby color and gregarious red berry fruits, with notes of blood orange, cracked pepper and charred meats. Medium-bodied, it’s grainy and fresh with understated, pepper-laced fruits and an uplifted, juicy finish.

ABOUT JEFF COHN CELLARS

Jeff Cohn, the winemaker and president of Jeff Cohn Cellars got his start in the industry just over 30 years ago. As an intern at Boordy Vineyards in Maryland, he drove an hour and half each way to prune vines in frigid weather, pick grapes in stifling heat, and scrub everything from barrels to floors.

Long before he began his winemaking career, he received an associate degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University, and a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Florida International University.

Jeff had always loved the hospitality industry, and as he worked through several high-profile positions after college, he found his passion for wine steadily growing. The more he learned, the more he wanted to learn, until he realized that becoming a winemaker was his ultimate goal. The job at Boordy was a deciding factor in the trajectory of his career -- in spite of all the scrubbing.

With the encouragement and support of his family, Jeff moved to California in 1993 to follow his dream. He earned his master’s degree in agriculture chemistry, with an emphasis on enology, from California State University, Fresno in 1996. It was here that Jeff discovered French winemaking techniques and the concept of terroir. "The flavor profile was so different than anything else I had ever tried," he says of the first Chateauneuf-du-Pape he tried in school. "It was a shocker. To go from tasting only single varietals to a blend really opened my eyes."

Upon graduation, Jeff joined Rosenblum Cellars in 1996 as the enologist. He rapidly moved beyond lab work and soon found himself in charge of the entire white wine program. In 2000, Jeff was officially promoted to winemaker, and in 2004 was named vice president of winemaking and production at Rosenblum. He was instrumental in creating innovative barrel and yeast programs at the winery. It was through experimentation at Rosenblum that Jeff perfected the technique of using diverse types of yeast to create even more subtle, specific characteristics in the wine he was crafting.

He began his own label, JC Cellars, in 1996. JC Cellars' first vintage was the 1996 Rhodes Vineyard Zinfandel. 75 cases were made. Over time, case production at JC Cellars slowly increased from that small, intimate introduction to just over 5,000 cases annually. In January 2006 Jeff finally parted ways with Rosenblum to focus exclusively on his own winery, but not before crafting the 2003 Rockpile Road Zinfandel, which placed 3rd on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list that year. This was a coup for not only Jeff but all of California’s winemaking industry, as no Zinfandel had ever appeared so high on the list before. In fact, at that time, no Zinfandel from California had ever even cracked the top ten.

Jeff goes to great lengths to marry California fruit to the aspects of terroir and minerality you'd find in France's oldest winemaking regions. He does so by travelling all over California, from Amador County to Alexander Valley, in search of the finest fruit and the best vineyards. Among some of Jeff's most important discoveries include the Rockpile region in Sonoma, where 22 years ago he began sourcing the Syrah grapes that are now the main component of his most elegant and complex wines; the Buffalo Hill Syrah, Rockpile Haley Syrah, Domaine des Chirats Syrah, and the stunning So Serine Syrah to name a few. The craggy soil of the aptly named Rockpile produces some of the most complex and distinctive minerality in all of California.

Throughout the years Jeff Cohn Cellars (rebranded from JC to Jeff Cohn with the 2012 vintage wines) has taken on a life of its own. After 20 years in the East Bay, the wines are now made in Windsor, much closer to all the vineyards.

Harvest is the most hectic time of year, when you can really experience all that goes into the craft of winemaking. "It’s my absolute favorite time of year," says Jeff, “and it’s also nerve-wracking because there is just so much to do. We easily put in 10-to-12-hour days for weeks on end. But fermentation...I love the aroma. I love the process, just seeing grapes become beautiful wines, well, it’s just pure magic.”

The future of Jeff Cohn Cellars involves exacting even more attention on the quality of the fruit. "The Rhône stuff is the passion," Jeff says, "but now we have some great Zinfandel vineyards including Sweetwater Springs, Iron Hill, and the remarkable St. Peter’s Church. The goal is to become a bit more focused and work with some really small vineyards and growers that we know are the best of the best."

Jeff Cohn Cellars -- a winery where you'll find remarkably crafted wine, a winemaker with decades of experience, and staff with an unparalleled passion for food, drink, and hospitality.

ABOUT THE BAND…

Terry Jones Rogers and Scott Nienhaus, of  ROGERS & NIENHAUS, along with drummer and vocalist Tim Politte, keyboardist Bill Murphy, and percussionist Chris Fabick, have joined with:  John Mondin, and Paul Graves, to create a tribute to CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG

This is a group that you don't want to miss!!!! These guys NAIL THIS STUFF!!! From their pristine harmonies, to the fiery exchange between guitarists  John Mondin and Scott Nienhaus, recalling the great repartee between Stills and Young on 4 Way Street.  Do yourself a favor, and experience ~ 4&20 ~ Tribute to CSNY!!!

The idea for this band, besides the great music of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young of course, came from the fertile mind of John Mondin, during an inspired conversation with Scott Nienhaus, who like Mondin, is a world class guitarist, as well as multi-instrumentalist and singer. Now 10 years later......4&20~a tribute to CSNY, has evolved into an epic production, taking it's audiences back to the heyday of the Woodstock Generation!!

All of the arrangements, harmonies, and intricate guitar tunings are accurately performed by this amazing group of musicians, directed by Scott Nienhaus whose former band Acousticity, drew tremendous crowds in the St. Louis area, performing much of this material. Currently Scott works with Terry Jones Rogers,  lifelong music veteran from the Macon,GA / Capricorn Records / Studio scene,  in their duo/band ROGERS & NIENHAUS, as well as numerous other projects,  including 4&20~CSNY TributeTim Politte, who was the drummer in Acousticity, and is the drummer with R&N, is also the drummer in 4&20.  On percussion is Chris Fabick who was recommended by the late R Scott Bryan our original percussionist when he joined TheAllman/Betts Band in 2017! On keyboards is Bill Murphy, an in demand exceptional player, who also works with R&N.

Now, back to John Mondin, and his great idea... which was to merge his then band, THE MONDIN BAND with Scott, Terry, Tim, Bill, R. Scott and Madison to form 4&20.  John Mondin and Paul Graves  are founding and current members of 4&20, and John Mondin is currently with Soulard Blues Band. So if you love the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young you need to see 4&20 ~ CSNY Tribute!!!

ABOUT THE BAND

Rockin' Chair was formed in 2009 to perform music that originated in the Laurel Canyon Los Angeles area where musicians and songwriters collaborated to create great music in the late 60's and early 70's. Starting with Buffalo Springfield and The Byrds as foundation groups, members formed other partnerships that created great bands like Crosby, Stills Nash & Young, Poco, Loggins & Messina andThe Eagles. Others involved in creating this unique sound were Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, J.D Souther, Mama Cass Elliot and Dan Fogelberg.

Rockin' Chair features 11 musicians and covers all of the instrumentation and vocals to perform this music authentically.

In 2017, Rockin Chair played some of the premier venues in St. Louis including The Pageant, Delmar Hall, The Chesterfield Amphitheater, The Old Rock House and The Playhouse @ Westport Plaza. KSHE Radio selected Rockin' Chair to perform at two of the station's 50th Anniversary events.

ABOUT THE RUBY LEIGH ! “The Voice” Finalist in 2023

Come catch Ruby Leigh from “The Voice” LIVE! you watched her go viral after her amazing audition on the show that has since become the highest-viewed audition in the show’s history!

She was also this season’s only artist to go viral and she did it twice!

And the best part is she’s a local Missouri girl that some very highly touted people in the music industry are saying she’s destined for greatness!

Ruby Leigh was born May 17th, 2007 on what was her late Grandmother Ruby Pearson’s Birthday Day!

Ruby was named after her Grandmother who was one of the biggest animal lovers ever and little Ruby has carried that on. Ruby has a huge heart for animals and people. She is very compassionate for most living things. She has volunteered her time and talents for many causes to benefit both human and animals.

Ruby has had an enormous appetite and appreciation for music since her beginnings just a couple short years back.

She immediately was drawn to the greats of Country Music like Hank Williams Sr, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb, Jimmy Rodgers and so many more .

She really liked the way they were each individuals and had their own sound. She also looked up to them as what she calls the real singers because they sang without the auto voice correction that most artists use today !

Ruby has compiled a song list of over 200+ songs she has stored in her memory. She refuses to use  paper notes or digital instruments on stage to perform her music and quotes “ if you wanna be a singer that’s your job to remember the words “  She’s said that since she was 9 years old and still stands behind that today

ABOUT THE BAND

Take all of your favorite bands from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and now…then, have them play your favorite songs, all on one stage, all in one night. This is what the audiences coming to see Trixie Delight have come to love and expect from their favorite St. Louis cover band. Sounds like a huge exaggeration, and biased self opinion made by the band – IF you’ve never seen them before. Once you hear Trixie Delight live, you’ll know the truth for yourself. All performances are 100% live, without pre-recorded backing tracks or pre-recorded vocals.

Formed in 2001, Trixie Delight quickly rose to the top 4 of all of the cover bands in St. Louis, and stayed there.

Kelly Wild, is the front woman/screamer/MC/ lead vocalist – and is well known as one of St. Louis’ top vocalists. She is very personable and engaging with the crowd. The biggest WOW factor with this band, is that she can cover songs by the male vocalists who had recorded them, and sound remarkably like the original recording. People couldn’t believe what they were seeing and hearing when they would turn around to find a female singing, as the band was performing songs from groups like Chris Stapleton, Metallica, and Pearl Jam. The band runs a tight show by also covering female Rock artists too – like Adele, Heart, Evanescence, and Lady Gaga to name a few.

Their fans LOVE the variety in Trixie Delight’s playlist.

The only way Trixie Delight could cover such a wide variety of songs, is by having one of the most versatile lead guitarists in town, Clint Wilson. The band’s tight rhythm section, Matt Crown on drums, and Dan Martin on bass guitar – can keep the dance floor groovin’ all night long. They are some of the most talented musicians in St. Louis and keep the mood light and fun on stage. The guys round out the unique sound of Trixie Delight with their full bodied back up vocals.

Kelly Wild has performed at times over the years, with 2 annual tributes at The Pageant – Celebration Day (a Led Zeppelin tribute) and El Monstero (a Pink Floyd tribute.)

Trixie Delight, is all about making the audience have fun while being treated to some of the best music and vocals in the area. So come out and catch a show when you are ready to lose your cares for a few hours, and drink and dance the night away.

Country and Americana

The Big Rigs started in the upstairs of a tiny bar in St. Louis, MO. What began as a gig at a birthday party has blossomed into something else altogether. Cover tunes eventually evolved into what would become their own original sound. A sound based heavily on a 3 part vocal harmony, scorching fiddle and a roots country vibe. "Whiskey and Water", their first original effort, was released in July 2016 and their follow up is due out mid-2020.

From the Cellar Dinner Series: March 2024

If you are a true wine aficionado, this is an event you will not want to miss! Join Owner & Certified Sommelier Chuck Gillentine for a unique five-course dinner featuring wines from his private collection paired with divine courses hand-crafted by our Executive Chef Kris Maurer.

Note from Chuck:

My position in the wine business allows me to travel from time to time and create incredible relationships.  Some we partner with, some I send customers to on referral, and some I just visit because I love the AVAs they are in or I’ve heard wonderful things about that certain winery.  Being in the industry allows me incredible tasting opportunities. Therefore, why not share these wonderful wines, wineries, and history with others? We hope you’ll join us for our truly unique bi-monthly dinner series celebrating remarkable wines and wonderful cuisine.
